Dr. Tracy Takenaka

Dr. Tracy Takenaka graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2004 and completed her General Practice Residency while serving in the U.S. Navy. She earned her pediatric dentistry specialty certificate and Master’s of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington in 2010.

Dr. Angie Vartak

Dr. Angie Vartak brings a wealth of experience and a passion for pediatric dentistry to her practice. She earned her Doctor Of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UCLA and completed her pediatric dental specialty training at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. With years of experience in pediatric dental clinics, Dr. Angie has also contributed to research projects at both UCLA and OHSU, with her work at UCLA culminating in published research. Her dedication to education led her back to UCLA to teach 3rd and 4th-year dental students in the kids' clinic. She feels honored to be able to provide care to the families of those who serve our country. Dr. Angie is a board-eligible pediatric dentist and a proud member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the Washington Dental Association, and the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Angie is committed to making dental visits a positive and enjoyable experience for children and their families. Don't be surprised if she shares a story, sings a song or crafts a balloon animal for you during a treatment visit! She employs proven cognitive-behavioral management techniques to help young children feel empowered and in control during their appointments. Embracing modern technologies, she strives to make every visit pain and stress-free. She incorporates many minimally invasive techniques as part of her treatment philosophy to keep kids away from needing extensive treatments and sedations. She deeply values the work her dental team puts in making every appointment memorable.

Dr. Angie lives in DuPont, Washington, with her husband and their twin girls, who are starting kindergarten in Fall 2025. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading stories, and learning new magic tricks and balloon animals. She and her husband share a love for hiking and eagerly anticipate starting family hiking trips as their twins get a bit older. She looks forward to building wonderful relationships with her patients and their families.
